About FLUX.1 Kontext Pro
FLUX.1 Kontext Pro is the Kontext model from Black Forest Labs for instruction-based edits, priced at $0.10 per image. It runs as text to image and edit with references: fal describes targeted local edits as well as complex transformations of entire scenes, from text plus a source image.
Each image costs the same, $0.10, whatever the shape; the largest batch costs $0.40. A typical generation takes about 12 s.
Good for
- Changing one thing in a picture with a written instruction, leaving the rest as it was
- Transforming a whole scene from a source image
Getting good results
- Write the edit as an instruction about what to change; the source image you upload is the only reference this model takes.
- An edit keeps the frame of the source image; the aspect ratio menu applies to text to image.
- Guidance, under Advanced, sets how closely the result follows the prompt.
