FLUX.1 Kontext Max is the Max tier of Kontext from Black Forest Labs, priced at $0.20 per image. It runs as text to image and edit with references, editing from a source image, and comes in 1:1, 16:9, 9:16, 4:3, 3:4, 3:2, 2:3, 21:9 and 9:21 when you start from text.
The price is flat per image, $0.20, so the only thing that raises it is asking for more images, $0.80 for the largest batch. A typical generation takes about 15 s.
Good for
- Edits that add or change lettering in an existing image
- Instruction edits where the wording of the prompt has to be followed closely
Getting good results
- Upload the image to edit and describe the change in words; each edit starts from a source image, with no extra references.
- Use Guidance, under Advanced, to push the result closer to the prompt.
