About FLUX 3 Video Extend
FLUX 3 Video Extend continues a clip beyond its final frame with FLUX 3 from Black Forest Labs, priced at $1.03 per second of new footage. You set the length of the continuation, from 5 seconds to 20 seconds, the resolution and whether it has sound; the audio switch does not change the price.
Its per-second rate is higher than generating from scratch with FLUX 3 Video, $1.03 per second against $0.43 per second. A typical generation takes about 3 min.
Good for
- Adding a long continuation, up to 20 seconds, to a clip you already have
Getting good results
- Upload an MP4 and describe how the video goes on from its last frames; the provider keeps the new footage consistent with the original motion and scene.
- You pay for the new footage, not the source: $5.13 for the shortest extension, $20.50 for 20 seconds.
FLUX 3 Video Extend questions
How is it different from the other extend models?
It takes a source from any origin and adds 5 seconds to 20 seconds of new footage with sound, at 720p and 1080p. MiniMax H3 Max Turbo Extend costs less per second; the Veo extend models add a fixed length to Veo videos.
